Take a peek into Master Robert Price's Martial Arts Studio, Price's Academy (of Self-Defense and Martial Arts Training) any Tuesday or Thursday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am and you will see a group of feisty seniors (from 50 to 80 years old). They are practicing exercises that cause youthful visitors to the class to get out of breath. Yet for this determined core group, who have stayed with the class since October 2010, practicing such movements as leg lifts, back arches, back rolls, falls and spins - all while counting and doing rhythmic breathing - are just par for the course. They are also testimony to Master Price's patient encouragement that, "You can do this. Just go at your own pace. Don't push it. You have made a commitment to your health and wellbeing by joining the class."

The exercises are derived from those taught by ancient monks to promote youthfulness and increase the alertness of the mind. Master Price explained, "As a believer in God and His creation, I have personally experienced through these exercises what I believe is a returning to the health and vitality that He desires of all of us - even at a mature age." From the "testimonies" given spontaneously by class members, this commitment seems to be paying off. They all attributed the changes to the strength, flexibility and confidence they have gained through attending the senior exercise classes. Equally impressive is that Master Price offers these classes at no charge, believing that, "It's my way of giving back to the community." Beginning Monday, April 4, 2011, Master Price will be offering these classes Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the studio for those interested in practicing the exercises.
